celebrating new beginnings......

The spring equinox is one of the four great solar festivals of the year when day
& night are equal, poised and balanced, but about to tip over on the side of light.
it just happened last night, March 19th around 10 pm. The spring equinox is
sacred to dawn, youth, the morning star and the east. The Saxon goddess,
Eostre (from whose name we get the direction East and the holiday Easter)
is a dawn goddess, like Aurora and Eos. Just as the dawn is the time of new light,
so the vernal equinox is the time of new life. After the Spring Equinox, the Sun still
continues to follow a higher and higher path through the sky, with the days growing
longer and longer, until it reaches it highest point in the sky on the Summer Solstice.

So....let's cheer up a bit and celebrate the new beginning...new season..... a new
nature...... a new persian year (which by itself is enough reasons for being
cheerful!)...and a new you......no matter how, where, or in what circumstances!
